Emotive Brand Design
Meet Lindsay, owner of Among the Wildflowers Photography! Lindsay needed an emotive brand design for her photography business, and we delivered just that!
Lindsay with Among the Wildflowers is an Orange County, California-based storytelling maternity and family photographer, serving free-spirited mamas and families.
We also created branding for the elopement side of her business.
Creating Emotive Branding
Lindsay wanted a Jane-Austen romantic and free-spirited vibe to her emotive branding.
For her colors, we chose a neutral palette, with nearly cool-toned shades, as you can see.
We chose a muted gray/green as her primary color, then added pops of misty shades of periwinkle blues, and a foundation color of deep brown and clay. These colors are calming, inspiring, and subtle.
For her fonts, we chose a handwritten, font as her main logo which features curves and flicks, giving that romantic letter-worn feel to her emotive brand design. Her secondary font is strong but thin.
Romantic Details
For her detailed illustrations, we chose to add:
- A cathedral window, viewing the waves of the ocean
- A floral skeleton key, there are two versions of this
- A vintage door key-hole
- Two locks representing love
- Filigree, florals, and waves
- Water in the shape of a flower
For her main logos, we chose bold and curved initials within frames, giving her a structured, periodic feel to her emotive branding.
