Michelle Bates Photography is an Oregon-based family photographer with a bold, free-spirited personality. She needed a custom groovy brand and web design in order to match her peace-loving hippie vibes and coastal style.

Michelle wanted her brand and web design to make the reader and potential client feel all the good vibes and happiness along with being able to get a feel for who she is when looking at her website. We collected all the ideas that make her, her – and compiled them into an experience for the client that will take them along for her adventures just by viewing.

We LOVE incorporating the little things in your life into your brand. It’s what sets you apart and just might be the thing that grabs a potential client’s attention when looking at your website. That’s why Michelle’s custom illustrations include:
- PNW mountain ranges with floral borders in bright tones
- Her trusty pair of birks
- Groovy sunbursts
- Bright and happy floral clusters
- A portrait of her precious piggies
- Ball of yarn, some with idle knitting needles
- “I love you” hand signs
Her lighter color palette includes pink petal tones, sunshine yellows, vintage greens, and coastal blues.
The overall feel of her branding and website gives cheerful, groovy vibes throughout so that the reader and the potential client feels calm, captivated, and overall good about who they are choosing for their session. The design is intentionally carefree and colorful to match her energy.
