Jodi with Jodi Lynn Photography longed for a poetic brand design that encapsulated the essence of her artistry. Together, we curated the perfect branding that reflects the soul of both her and her business.
Based in Sonoma County, CA, Jodi is a storytelling motherhood and family photographer who weaves narratives through her lens, capturing fleeting moments that resonate with love and connection.
In this project, we ventured into two beautiful realms of her business—one for her photography and the other for her retreats, “Pacific Anthology.”
Brand Design Poetry
“I truly want to tell honest, beautiful stories and want to showcase each family’s love as beauty.”
These words flowed straight from Jodi’s heart during her inquiry with House of W Designs. We understood the importance of crafting her poetic branding to speak louder than words. Like a visual poem that encapsulates the emotions and stories behind every photograph.
For her color palette, we chose a neutral symphony of rosy tans, delicate pops of cream, and a whisper of subtle blue-green. To offset the earthy tones, creating a calming yet vibrant aesthetic that reflects the warmth of family connections.
For her fonts, we selected a trio that harmonizes strength and creativity. A bold typography paired with a handwritten style, exuding an honest, personal touch. This combination adds a lyrical quality to her brand, enhancing the emotive experience for her audience.

For her detailed illustrations, we chose to add:

- A wax seal, bearing the initials JL
- Vine-framed wreaths and bundles
- An envelope full of flowers
- A framed ocean scene of the California coast
- An Oak Tree, with curling branches and foliage
- A mother behind the laundry line
- A close-up of a babe on a lap
- A pregnant momma up against waves and the grape vines
- A hummingbird in flight
- Twigs and bundles of wheatgrass
As illustrated above, her poetic brand design’s main logos intertwine the figure of a mother and her babe within a vine-wreathed embrace. This delicate balance of strong typography and soft illustrations perfectly encapsulates the essence of her vision. A fusion of poetic writing and visual storytelling.
